IT WMS Application Analyst

Join a global leader in logistics as an IT WMS Application Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the functional and technical configuration, design, testing, and integration of the Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems. Acting as a crucial link between the supply chain, distribution centre operations, and IT, you’ll ensure seamless communication and effective solutions.

This role is open to candidates based in Germany or other EU countries. Occasional site visits to Germany will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Process

• Translate business requirements into software designs and configurations.
• Develop flowcharts and diagrams to visualise processes and system logic.
• Design user interfaces to integrate WMS with external systems, meeting user needs.
• Analyse and optimise supply chain data and processes.

Development & Testing

• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and implement software applications.
• Modify applications to improve operational efficiency or meet new requirements.
• Produce documentation to describe functional design and system logic.

Support

• Provide ongoing support for warehouse applications, resolving minor and major issues.
• Collaborate with business teams to deliver both short-term fixes and long-term solutions.
• Foster strong relationships with business partners and vendors, promoting positive collaboration.

Leadership

• Lead medium-to-large projects, providing technical guidance to team members.
• Ensure projects follow SDLC principles and adhere to SOX, regulatory, and security best practices, delivering quality outcomes on time.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Expertise: Strong understanding of supply chain principles and warehouse management processes.
• Experience:
• Comprehensive knowledge of implementing Manhattan WMS, including 2+ years with Manhattan Active (MAWM).
• Expertise in WMS configurations across key functional areas (e.g., inbound, outbound).
• 2+ years of experience integrating Manhattan WMS with Host ERP, reporting tools, TMS/YMS, and MHE systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL/PL; familiarity with Unix and Java is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train colleagues, present to teams, and engage with stakeholders across all levels.
