Job Description: An international organization is seeking a Global Head of Procurement to elevate and strategically enhance their procurement function. This pivotal role involves refining procurement strategies to align with overarching commercial objectives and integrating these processes seamlessly across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and continuously update the procurement strategy to reflect the company's vision for growth and efficiency.
• Position the procurement function as a key business partner within the organization.
• Lead a high-performance management team distributed globally, fostering a culture of excellence in procurement practices.
• Ensure procurement is effectively integrated with end-to-end (E2E) core business processes.
• Implement and refine a roadmap for strategic actions and optimization, focusing on profitable growth.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain management to enhance the overall supply chain performance.
• Standardize procurement procedures, tools, and systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and efficient.
• Oversee the selection, development, and management of procurement staff and leadership.
• Manage robust procurement operations across various categories, from supplier management to quality assurance.
• Drive initiatives for supplier development, negotiations, tendering, and contract management aimed at optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Requirements:

• A degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a senior procurement role, with extensive expertise in supplier management and strategic sourcing.
• Proven ability in developing and executing procurement strategies and process optimizations.
• Experience managing international operations across continents such as North America, Asia, and Europe.
• Familiarity with lean management, agile methodologies, and Six Sigma is advantageous.
• Industry experience in life sciences and/or medical devices preferred.
• Fluency in German and English, with exceptional communication skills.
• A strong commitment to continuous improvement and building effective stakeholder relationships.
