We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Logistics to oversee and manage all aspects of our logistics operations. The Director of Logistics will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize our freight forwarding processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of freight forwarding operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, and finance teams, to align logistics activities with business goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, including carriers, suppliers, and vendors, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of logistics activities.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to streamline logistics processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing logistics strategies to drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, with experience in implementing and leveraging technology solutions to optimize operations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in logistics and freight forwarding.
