Contract Length : Minimum of 6 Months


This role will require the chosen individual to be on-site a minimum of 3 days per week.


Our client, is a globally recognized Technology Manufacturer, with their European Head Office in Frankfurt Germany.


As the business expands and evolves, they are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the move to their new offices.


This is an exciting opportunity to lead the total IT Infrastructure and Data Center move for a global business.


This role demands adept planning, strong leadership skills, and expertise in managing intricate technical projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful IT Infrastructure / Data Center moves and cloud migrations, with a deep understanding of the challenges and best practices associated with such endeavors.


Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, milestones, resource needs, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria.
  • Devise migration strategies aimed at minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity throughout the transition.


Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and vendors to execute the migration plan effectively.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clear accountability and alignment with project goals.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented work atmosphere to maximize team productivity and satisfaction.


Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage expertise in data center infrastructure and cloud technologies to inform decision-making and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assess existing systems and infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data center management and cloud migration.


Risk Management and Contingency Planning:

  • Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies that may affect project timelines or outcomes.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, taking corrective actions as needed to keep the project on course.


Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Regularly communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and discussions to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.


Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing data center moves and cloud migration projects, preferably in a large enterprise setting.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in data center infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in English (minimum of B2 level written and spoken) is essential. German language skills is also preferable but not essential.


Package Offering:


  • Hour / Day Rate Negotiable
