Carrier Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carrier Manager to join our team. The Carrier Manager will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with our network of carriers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of freight, and optimizing carrier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiate rates and contracts, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
2. Carrier Performance Optimization: Monitor carrier performance metrics such as on-time delivery, transit times, and claims ratio, and work collaboratively with carriers to improve performance.
3. Freight Planning and Execution: Coordinate freight movements with carriers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs and maximizing load utilization.
4. Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive rates with carriers based on market conditions, freight volume, and other relevant factors to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
5. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure carrier compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards, and mitigate risks associated with carrier operations.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the carrier network, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
7. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze transportation data to identify trends, evaluate carrier performance, and generate reports for management review.
