Head of M&A, Healthcare – Hamburg

THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are delighted to be partnering with a preeminent Private Equity House to find a Head of M&A for a pan-European healthcare asset to be based in Germany, preferably Hamburg. Reporting into the Chief Corporate Development Officer, this role will require a native German speaker capable of executing the full life-cycle of an M&A process as well as implementing strategy, overall acting as a catalyst to the company's continued inorganic and organic growth. The role will come with market leading salary, bonus and equity.


THE ROLE:

  • Based in Hamburg the role will report directly to the Group’s Senior Management Team.
  • The role will be involved in conducting strategic acquisitions into new and existing markets, developing and implementing group strategy and key strategic projects
  • This is an exciting and dynamic role with attractive career development opportunities which will allow you to gain significant practical M&A and operational experience in the best-in-class roll up team.
  • Involvement in developing the group growth strategy together with the Senior Management Team.
  • Involvement in defining and overseeing cross border operational strategic projects (e.g. best practices transfer in procurement, operational excellence)
  • This role offers a large degree of autonomy with significant exposure to top management (group management and country level management teams).


THE REQUIREMENTS:

Between 8-15 years of tangible buy-side experience, preferably with a background in IB or Corporate Finance.

  • Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with the senior management teams as well as interact with entrepreneurs, advisors and small business owners
  • Motivated and self driven with ability to multitask across projects
  • Ability to work independently while communicating and developing strong working relationship with the country teams
