This challenge awaits you:

The development of cooling circuits, refrigeration circuits, auxiliary heating, air conditioning and thermal management applications for partially and fully electrified vehicles has been a long-standing focus of the thermal management portfolio. For these systems, IAV develops the functions and applications, coordinates the projects, provides support during testing and implements them through to series production. As part of this activity, the air conditioning and thermal management system is to be developed and validated from concept to series production. This involves developing the air conditioning system and the thermal management systems.

Your Tasks:
  • You are the technical contact person for our customers.
  • You are responsible for inquiry and offer processes, including offer presentations.  
  • You are responsible for the budget and manage projects in terms of deadlines, quality and costs. 
  • You will carry out project controlling, including the preparation of internal/external status reports. 
  • You manage the construction internally and with our partners.
  • You are responsible for the technical management of employees.
  • You will oversee the entire development process of a component and the system and monitor the targets, including coordination and regular reporting on development progress (endurance, quality, acoustics and production).
  • You create and maintain the maturity level lists and presentation of results.
Necessary Skills:
  • Successfully completed studies in the field of automotive engineering or mechanical engineering, alternatively training as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician or comparable qualification   
  • Experience in the field of vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling as well as a good understanding of the entire vehicle, ideally in hybrid and electric vehicles   
  • Experience in managing projects with a budget of EUR 1-10 million
  • Process knowledge of a leading automotive manufacturer required
Desired Skills:
  • German language skills at least at C1 level and English language skills at least at B2 level 
  • Several years of professional experience in the development sector and in cooperation with the relevant specialist departments at automotive OEMs
  • Experience in systems engineering
  • Experience with interdisciplinary or interdisciplinary work
  • Design knowledge in CATIA V5
  • Know-how in the interpretation of FMEA, FEM and simulation results
