Job Title: Tender Manager / RFX Project Manager (Road Freight)
Location: Remote, Germany
Salary: €65,000 – €80,000
About the Role: JBAndrews is partnered with a leading multimodal and logistics company who are looking to add to the Road Freight Tender Management team in Germany as a Tender Manager / RFX Project Manager. You will play a key role in preparing competitive, high-quality proposals in response to RFQs/RFIs/RFPs, primarily from Global Key Accounts. In this role, you will closely collaborate with various tender management teams, bid owners, product teams, and support functions to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire RFX process, from initial receipt to post-tender review, for road-packed business pricing and solution design.
- Collaborate with Operations to clarify capabilities, requirements, and opportunities.
- Align with Operations and relevant stakeholders on specific RFQs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Document and track RFX handling, providing feedback and recording outcomes.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base for discussions with Operations and Management.
- Analyse RFX materials to gather insights on market demands and changes.
- Provide data for CRM input, ensuring that information is shared across relevant departments.
- Serve as the opportunity owner when no sales lead is available.
What You’ll Need:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent education as a forwarding merchant, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Proficiency in both German and English, with additional languages being a plus.
- Extensive experience in logistics and transportation, specifically in road transport.
- Strong commercial experience in road transportation, with a solid understanding of the European Road Transport market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A results-driven, goal-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time across Europe for site visits and customer meetings.
