What will you do?


As the dedicated Data Center Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining co-locations and on-site data center. Get ready to embrace the following exciting responsibilities:


  • Install and expertly connect switches, servers, and appliances in the on-site data center
  • Uphold a consistent and tidy cable management philosophy, ensuring the infrastructure operates at its peak performance
  • Demonstrate your logistical skills by efficiently handling equipment transportation to and from remote co-locations
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the data center documentation, potentially taking ownership of this critical aspect
  • Collaborate with skilled technicians to install servers and network equipment across multiple remote locations, utilizing your expertise and assisting with hands-on tasks
  • Shape the future of the infrastructure by planning strategic moves and contributing to exciting new build-outs
  • Contribute your expertise to maintaining and improving the vibrant office infrastructure, including the dynamic trading floor
  • Manage equipment inventory
  • Showcase your hardware expertise by seamlessly replacing hard drives, memory, transceivers, and other components, supporting our server and network teams in their mission.



Who are you?


  • Experience working in a modern, large-scale data center
  • Creative problem-solving skills: You are expected to generate solutions for the challenges at hand instead of waiting for instructions
  • Strong mindset for documentation and logistics
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness, and a preference for simplicity
  • Ability to identify basic components of network equipment, including SFPs, line cards, and chassis.
  • Ability to identify basic components of servers, such as memory, network cards, and hard drives.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling systems, including cat 5, cat 6, multi-mode, and single-mode fiber.
  • Familiarity with power and communications cabling standards.
  • Experience in configuring and utilizing cable testers for troubleshooting cabling issues, both fiber and copper.
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Understanding of change control processes
