Location: Within a 1-1.5 hour drive from Nuremberg, Germany
Position Type: Full-time, 7 days per month on-site (any 7 days)
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team at a major global automotive company (50,000+ employees). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This role requires fluency in German and involves working 7 days per month on-site within a 1-1.5 hour drive from Nuremberg. The ideal candidate will have experience in project procurement or in procuring castings, plastics, or electric components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support automotive manufacturing operations.
- Source and manage suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Monitor and report on procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project procurement, or procurement of castings, plastics, or electric components within the automotive sector.
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and process optimization.
- Fluent in German.
- Ability to be present in the office 7 days per month (any 7 days) within a 1-1.5 hour drive from Nuremberg.
- Excellent internal stakeholder management skills.
