Requirements

  • Completed training as an IT specialist or studies in the IT field
  • Min 3 years of experience in network technologies (switching, routing, WLAN, LAN, WAN, network management, firewall)
  • Experience with MS server operating systems and domain structures, applications in the Windows environment
  • Experience or basic knowledge in the Linux / Unix environment desirable
  • Initial experience in dealing with databases
  • Knowledge of virtual servers and storage environments
  • Professional experience with workstation environments including user support
  • Cisco certificates in routing / switching are advantageous, as well as further expertise where applicable (e.g. Microsoft MCITP / MCSA / MCSE, VMware, Citrix, Commvault, HP, Aruba, Lancom, Watchguard)


Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration and operation of Microsoft server environments
  • Installation, configuration and operation of virtualization solutions and clusters
  • Installation, configuration and operation of network structures
  • Creation and maintenance of system documentation and operating manuals
  • System maintenance and 2nd level support of customer systems
  • System maintenance and support for complex internal systems in our own data center
  • Error analysis and troubleshooting
