Job Overview:

The 6G AI/ML Standardization Specialist will play a critical role in defining and driving the standardization of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) technologies for 6G networks. This position requires a deep understanding of telecom networks, AI/ML algorithms, and the standardization process. The successful candidate will work closely with international standardization bodies, industry partners, and internal teams to develop and promote 6G standards that incorporate advanced AI/ML capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Standardization Leadership: Lead the development and promotion of AI/ML standards for 6G networks in collaboration with international standardization bodies (e.g., ITU, 3GPP, IEEE).
• Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise in AI/ML algorithms and their application in telecom networks, ensuring that proposed standards are feasible, scalable, and innovative.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and product development, to align internal projects with standardization efforts.
• Industry Engagement: Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and conferences to advocate for and influence the adoption of 6G AI/ML standards.
• Research & Development: Conduct cutting-edge research to explore new AI/ML techniques and their potential applications in 6G networks, contributing to white papers and technical reports.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that proposed standards comply with global regulatory requirements and align with industry best practices.
• Documentation: Prepare and present detailed technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in telecom standardization, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in AI/ML algorithms, data analytics, and their applications in telecom networks. Familiarity with 5G and emerging 6G technologies.
• Standards Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the standardization process, with experience in contributing to or leading standards development in bodies such as ITU, 3GPP, or IEEE.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks
• Prior involvement in Telecoms research and development projects.
• Publications in reputable journals or conferences related to AI/ML and telecom.
