As a central competence for technology and infrastructure, you will develop architectural principles, guidelines and standards, advise the management and IT management on the development of the IT architecture and support the close integration of specialist departments and IT. You will help to build up and promote IT architecture expertise throughout the company as well as sharpen the understanding of the goals, challenges and processes of the specialist departments in IT. Enterprise architect (all genders) THAT WILL MOVE YOU: Development and further development of the IT architecture You will design a future-proof and business-oriented IT architecture based on defined principles, standards and technologies. Strategic IT planning Together with IT management, you develop IT target images and roadmaps based on the company's objectives, including evaluating new requirements and creating the technical basis for decision-making. Technology and system evaluation You support investment decisions with technology analyses (e.g. impact on costs, time, resources, architecture) and recommendations. Governance and consistency assurance Ensuring a harmonized IT landscape by actively managing architecture standards and maintaining the architecture repository is your top priority. Collaboration and coordination In this role, you will act across all locations for Hamburg and Tornesch and work closely with management, IT management, specialist departments and project teams to implement the architecture strategy and improve business-IT integration. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, software engineering or a comparable qualification with an IT focus. You have several years of experience in designing IT architectures, ideally in a medium-sized retail environment You have a deep understanding of IT systems, data flows and integration architectures, e.g. CRM, ERP, e-commerce, warehouse and logistics systems and data management. You are adept at using architecture tools and/or structured documentation and/or pragmatic solutions based on Confluence, SharePoint or Excel. You have good knowledge of IT security, cloud strategies and data management in order to be able to evaluate technological decisions holistically You speak German at native speaker level and have a good command of written and spoken English Analytical and conceptual thinking skills are among your strengths. You have strong moderation and consulting skills to make architecture decisions viable together with specialist departments, IT and management. You have an authoritative manner and persuasiveness to effectively anchor standards and architecture guidelines in the company. Your way of working is characterized by personal responsibility and initiative, coupled with a willingness to create structures and actively share knowledge. Occasional travel and moving between our two locations in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld and Tornesch will make the job even more varied and exciting for you.
