Offshore Certification Expert

Taylor Hopkinson is exclusively engaged to appoint an experienced leader to lead the certification processes for a portfolio of offshore HVDC projects in Germany.

The role will play a crucial part in the successful development and implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy.

You will be responsible for leading the strategy and managing the successful certification processes, ensuring that the design of the systems and construction meet standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a full time, staff role based in Germany.

Role:

  • Responsibility for the successful certification of offshore platforms during the design and construction phases.
  • Manage the certification risk points to ultimately secure all relevant project certification statements and the underlying records.
  • Ensure the contractor identifies, understands and applies legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Co-ordinate the resolution of problems and non-conformities and implement corrective and preventative measures. Mediate between the wider project team, external certifiers and the contractors who build the platforms.
  • Advise the project team on certification topics and prepare progress monitoring and reports.

Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in the field of natural sciences, engineering or similar subject.
  • Existing experience in the energy sector and in the planning of infrastructure certification.
  • Good knowledge of project management, ideally IPMA certified.
  • Willingness to make decisions on your own responsibility.
  • Enthusiastic, determined, authentic, inspired and inspirational.
  • Strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
  • Ability to work in a very structured manner as a team player.
  • Fluent in German and English.
