Senior Software Engineer Java (m/f/d)

Our "IT Applications Sales Support" team needs you for the strategic alignment, development & coordination of all sales-supporting web-based applications & services.

Tasks in application operation:

  • Maintenance / care / product support and further development of existing and new technologies, interfaces and web applications based on the JavaEE technology stack
  • Implementation, administration and 2nd level support in complex application environments (including end customer portal and external SaaS solutions)
  • Active support for digitalization projects in the insurance and broker environment
  • Collaboration with external implementation partners

Tasks in projects:

  • Planning, management and execution of implementation projects
  • Taking over the management of projects / sub-projects
  • Creation of concepts, service descriptions and documentation
  • Implementation of system integration services in particular

  • Several years of professional experience in software development (full stack), (partial) project management, requirements management and ideally in managing external suppliers
  • Sound knowledge (min. 5 years of professional experience) of JavaEE8 framework and technologies such as JSF (primefaces), JPA, maven, REST, OpenAPI, SQL (Oracle), as well as application servers (Tomcat & Oracle Weblogic Server)
  • Knowledge of cloud and serverless computing, CI/CD (Jenkins) and unit testing as well as app development (PWA) is desirable
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Problem-solving skills, also in coordination with third parties
  • Ability to work in a team, project management skills and a high level of innovation and initiative
  • Very good knowledge of German
