Trenching Operator

Short description

For the upcoming project in France, we are looking for Trenching Operators who will be involved in work with a special drilling equipment onboard, which is installed onboard one offshore construction vessel. Drilling duties include drilling tool operated remotely with a joystick. Project is starting from end of August 2024 and if you are available and qualify for this job, see more details below.

Function description

The project will last until at least January 2025. For this reason, we are looking for Trenching Operators who are ready to be committed for a long term. The role of Trenching Operator / Driller requires a strong understanding of both trenching and drilling operations, as well as adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.

The key responsibilities include:

• Operate trenching machines and drilling equipment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and perform routine maintenance on trenching and drilling equipment.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
• Ensure that all trenches and drilling operations comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Monitor and control the depth, alignment, and slope of trenches and drilled holes.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including logs of hours, materials used, and any incidents.

Requirements

To qualify for this job, a perfect candidate should have:

• Proven experience as a Trenching Operator in the construction industry.
• Valid operator's license and certifications for trenching operations.
• OPITO BOSIET (HUET or FUET) with CA-EBS.
• full GWO training (5 modules).
• Seafarer's and Offshore medicals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
