Chief of Staff to the CTO Climate Tech Startup

Join tozero as our Chief of Staff to the CTO where you will play a pivotal role in project managing our cuttingedge technology initiatives and supporting the scaling of our innovative solutions in lithiumion battery recycling. This position is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who is passionate about deep tech and has a track record of success in startup environments.

Tasks

What Youll Do

  • Support Project Execution: Collaborate closely with the CTO to oversee critical engineering projects ensuring that they are executed efficiently and effectively meeting defined objectives and timelines.
  • Coordinate CrossFunctional Teams: Facilitate communication and collaboration among various teams including engineering operations and R&D to align technology development with industrialization efforts and business strategy.
  • Manage Project Timelines: Monitor project timelines deliverables and milestones to ensure alignment with broader company goals proactively addressing any obstacles that may arise.
  • Drive Alignment and Strategy: Work alongside the CTO to align engineering goals with companywide objectives helping to prioritize initiatives that maximize impact and scalability.
  • Implement Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices in project management and engineering processes to enhance productivity and quality across teams.
  • Foster a Culture of Innovation: Encourage a collaborative and innovative work environment empowering team members to contribute ideas and solutions that drive progress.
Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

  • Strong Engineering Background: A degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field with a solid understanding of deep tech and its applications in the recycling industry.
  • Proven Project Management Skills: Extensive experience in project management ideally within a technologyfocused startup with a track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to execution.
  • Deep Tech Understanding: A strong grasp of the challenges and opportunities within deep tech particularly in relation to scaling technology for industrial applications.
  • Startup Experience: Experience working in fastpaced startup environments demonstrating adaptability and a handson approach to problemsolving.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your cultural and business fit for the role.
  • Founders interview you will talk to Ksenija (CTO) and Sarah (CEO) and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture values working style etc..).
