Your responsibilities

1) Driving Transformation & Innovation
  • Collaborate with business functions, data scientists, and other stakeholders to gain a comprehensive view of challenges & opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end problem definition & recommend impactful machine learning solutions, emphasizing their integration for maximum effectiveness
  • Develop & execute strategic communication & engagement plans to foster awareness, understanding, and buy-in for Data & Advanced Analytics / AA initiatives across Olympus globally
  • Champion the development of essential capabilities to empower our workforce to embrace the data-driven culture
  • Identify and link Data and Machine Learning / AA opportunities to strategic Olympus business priorities or business KPIs
  • Ensure adoption for Data & Advanced Analytics / AA solutions
  • Accountable for Project Management, and Sprint Execution
  • Manage the solution portfolio lifecycle together with the technical team Maintain a holistic and comprehensive view on the project portfolio and how it serves the Olympus Data & Advanced Analytics Roadmap 2) Strategic Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Take ownership of stakeholder relations within the designated business area, ensuring alignment with Data & Advanced Analytics / AA opportunities, scope, and roadmap
  • Employ structured governance to project portfolios, ensuring transparency & alignment with overarching business goals
  • Lead project planning, track deliveries, facilitate open communication through workshops, and guide stakeholders toward a future of data-driven decision-making
  • Coaching across stakeholders functions to navigate confidently in a machine learning and data-centric environment Identify key stakeholders & SME to support and sponsor the projects execution and the solution adoption 3) Empowering Data Solutions & Machine Learning Model Delivery
  • Lead the management of Data Science & Data Engineering project teams, adopting agile methodologies to drive Advanced Analytics Solutions
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects by maintaining a clear focus on milestones & objectives
  • Comprehensive understanding of ML & Advanced Analytics life cycle incl. ability to identify best fit Advanced Analytics / AA solution approach for a given business problem
  • Understanding analytical effort to business problem/impact
  • Forge effective collaborations with internal and external teams to achieve project deliverables
  • Define user journeys together with business stakeholders


Your qualification

  • Master or PhD degree in technology, mathematics, science, or business, with a particular focus on strategic management / change
  • Min years of experience delivering Advanced Analytics solutions (eg, machine learning / data science projects), recognizing and tackling relevant business challenges/opportunities
  • Proven consulting & change management experience, amplifying your ability to drive transformation
  • Solid comprehension of advanced analytics and machine learning applications & their tailored implementation in organizations of various sizes and maturity levels
  • Solid hands-on product ownership/management expertise within technical domains
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with various audiences, including senior executives & stakeholders from diverse functions, conveying the significance of advanced analytics & modern data technologies
  • Proficiency in building partnerships across departments, including remote teams
  • Proficient planning skills, focused on clearly defined milestones and use of planning tools like JIRA/Confluence & Microsoft Teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle & data analytics, including cloud technologies, machine learning, and end-to-end data pipelines
  • Proven contributor to "a digital transformation culture" within a company landscape (eg, through workshops, coaching)
  • Self-driven and adept at managing dynamic tasks & priorities while delivering exceptional quality results
  • Innate team player, capable of galvanizing individuals toward shared objectives and making Advanced Analytics accessible to a wide spectrum of stakeholders
  • Strong experience in collaborating with and deep understanding of key cultures within the Olympus organization, ie, North America, China, Japan, Europe/ Germany, excelling in a multicultural setting with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages ​​as a distinct advantage
