Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess pro-ject issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objec-tives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Plans, controls, and executes projects/programs they are assigned
- Proactively works with all functions to effectively complete projects/programs on-time, on-cost, and on-quality
- Manages risks, issues, and compliance across projects/programs under their responsibility
- Resolves conflicts and effectively escalates topics appropriately on projects/programs they manage
- Effectively communicates tasks, roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a reg-ular basis
- Understands and utilizes best practices in project/program management
- Documents project/program lessons learned to foster continuous improvement
- Provides feedback and guidance to project teams
- Supports different stages of the project/program management lifecycle, utilizing the tools and tech-niques to produce reports on project/program performance, budgets, and schedules
- Maintains the change management log
What your background should look like:
- Generally, requires Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field or local equivalent.
- Formal project/program management education is preferred. PgMP or PMP certification are a plus
- 7+ years experience in Project Management
- Automotive Industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in project, program, and resource management
- Experience with LEANPD, Waterfall, Agile methodologies
- Formal project management education and/or PMP certification (or pursuing to get one)
- Fluent German and English language skills
