Data Governance Expert (m/f/d)

What awaits you

Become a co-designer in our data governance team at DZ BANK AG. Positioned in a 2nd LoD function, as an expert you will work with specialist departments and IT to ensure that the quality of data as a basis for decision-making processes is continuously improved. To do this, you will drive the development of our data governance standards, processes and tools, advise our specialist departments on efficient implementation and regularly check the established procedures for compliance with regulatory and data governance requirements.

  • You are a permanent member of the Data Governance Committee of DZ BANK AG and the Group Data Governance Working Group of the DZ BANK Group
  • You will be responsible for one of the disciplines accounting, regulatory law or risk controlling as well as a focus topic, such as DQ issue management, DQ control approach or data lineage
  • They advise departments on the implementation of data governance structures, monitor the implementation of data governance standards by the departments of DZ BANK AG and report accordingly to the Risk Committee of the Board of Management
  • You develop data governance standards and processes in close cooperation with the specialist departments and IT
  • You answer data governance-related inquiries from top management, departments and auditors as a competent and accepted contact person
  • They are involved in other data governance-related topics, such as taking into account the requirements of the ECB Guide RDARR


Your skills
  • Completed studies in economics, business administration, business informatics or comparable
  • Very good knowledge of operational processes and technical architecture in at least one of the disciplines accounting, regulatory law, risk controlling or financial controlling
  • Experience in the context of regulatory audits
  • Practical experience with commercially available DQ and BI tools and methods desired
  • Experience in project work is an advantage
  • Experience in a comparable function in a specialist area in the banking environment, an auditing firm, an audit department or a 2nd line function is desirable
  • Networked / cross-departmental thinking, willingness to take responsibility, initiative, assertiveness, communication skills, working in a team
