Wir suchen einen Protein Production Manager (m/w/d), der eine aktive Rolle darin einnimmt, die Ambitionen von KWS im Bereich der pflanzlichen Lebensmittelinhaltsstoffe voranzutreiben. Die Position wird ein integraler Bestandteil unseres KWS Food Ingredients Teams sein. Sie ist in Vollzeit und unbefristet an unserem Hauptsitz in Deutschland/Einbeck (KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA) zu besetzen.

Ihre Aufgabe:

  • Sie identifizieren und bewerten potentielle Dienstleister/Partner für KWS zur Extraktion von Proteinen aus Eiweißpflanzen, insbesondere Erbsen, im Pilot- als auch großtechnischen Maßstab für verschiedene Proteinarten und Anwendungen.
  • Sie organisieren und managen die Extraktion von Protein insbesondere aus Erbsen durch Dienstleister/Partner, um Produktentwicklungsprojekte und kommerzielle Aktivitäten mit Partnern aus der Lebensmittelindustrie zu unterstützen, einschließlich der Etablierung und des Testens von Scale-up-Konsistenz.
  • Sie unterstützen die Entwicklung von Proteinextraktionsprozessen im Labormaßstab, die der Industrie nachempfunden sind.
  • Sie sind verantwortlich für die Produktion von Eiweißpflanzen (innerhalb and außerhalb der Saison) im Feld und in geschützten Anbauflächen, einschließlich Produktionsplanung, Auswahl und Managements von Vertragsanbauern, sowie Koordination von Probenahme, Ernte und Logistik.
  • Sie stimmen die Produktion von Saatgut und Ausgangsmaterial mit unseren internen Pflanzenzucht- und Saatgutproduktionsteams ab und liefern Input zur Kapazitäts- und Mengenplanung der Proteinextraktion.
  • Sie sorgen für ein professionelles Bestandsmanagement vom Saatgut bis zum Protein und richten es bei Bedarf ein.
  • Sie suchen kontinuierlich nach neuen Ansätzen zur Verbesserung von Kosteneffizienz und Proteinqualitätsparameter.
  • Sie ergreifen die Chance, ein einflussreiches Mitglied einer neuen Initiative im dynamischen und schnelllebigen Trend der pflanzlichen Lebensmittelinhaltsstoffe zu sein.

Ihr Profil:

  • B.Sc., M.Sc. oder gleichwertige Ausbildung in Lebensmitteltechnik, Lebensmittelverarbeitungstechnologie, Verfahrenstechnik oder angrenzenden Wissenschaften
  • Berufserfahrung in der Verarbeitung von Eiweißpflanzen oder Proteinextraktion und/oder ein Netzwerk zu diesen Branchen
  • Erfahrung in der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion von Eiweißpflanzen bevorzugt (insbesondere Erbsen)
  • Pragmatische Einstellung sowie lösungsorientierte und proaktive Herangehensweise an Herausforderungen
  • Innovative und unkonventionelle Denkweise
  • Ausgezeichnete Netzwerkfähigkeiten und die Fähigkeit, in interdisziplinären Teams zu arbeiten
  • Verhandlungssichere deutsche und englische Sprachkenntnisse
  • Führerschein der Klasse B erforderlich
  • Hohe Reisebereitschaft
