RostockAs a UX Designer at ZEISS Microscopy you create long lasting software solutions and make a profound difference in the everyday life of our users.
Putting them in the center, we aim to build intuitive digital tools that enable them to leverage the full power of our microscopes and completely focus on what they want to achieve:progress in science and industry. This requires well-built workflows, outstanding usability, and innovative solutions.
You will be part of our UX team in an international environment.
You'll work very closely with UX & UI designers, product managers and agile development teams as well as experts and stakeholders throughout the organization.
Together you bring concepts from the first idea to the finished product.Collaborating with other UX and UI designers in the team you share feedback and create a consistent experience for our product portfolio.
You'll also contribute to our awardwinning design system and exchange with the larger UX community in ZEISS on topics from accessibility to ZEISS brand.
Independently develop high-quality UX concepts for various platforms (Windows desktop software, online platform, VR application) with a focus on usabilityCreate and analyze user journeys, indicating crucial interaction moments and touchpointsUse and contributing to design systems, pattern libraries and style guidesDevelop wireframes and prototypesCreate UI designs based on the design systemPlan, conduct and evaluate user researchSupport implementation in the development teamYour Profile A bachelor's or master ́s degree or diploma in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Media Design, Ergonomics, Psychology or similar - or you are a creative career changer with stunning reference projectsAt least three years of professional experience in a relevant position with a focus on UX design, usability engineering or similarPassion for developing user-centered concepts at a high-quality standard, with an eye for the big picture and a love of detailMethodological competence and practical experience in all parts of UX Design, including user research and UI designExperience in working with development teams, product managers and agile methodsFamiliarity with using and contributing to design systems, pattern libraries and style guidesAdvanced knowledge in UX tools like Axure, Figma or similarStrong team spirit and communication skillsProactive and independent working styleCuriosity and willingness to deal with complexStrong verbal, written and visual presentation skills in English and ideally also GermanExperience in Design Thinking is a plusAbout usIn Rostock and Munich, our teams build the arivis platform - an agnostic software suite to work with scientific image data.
