We are looking for a passionate Analytics Engineer (f/m/d) to join our global Technology & Operations team in our headquarters in Berlin. As a Analytics Engineer, you are a thorough and a highly flexible, unreserved team player and a communicator, keen to be part of the world's fastest-growing music company, BMG. You understand the music industry as a whole and are also able to dive into details as and when required.
Your Tasks
- Work closely with the business users and other analyst engineers to deliver scalable, lean and flexible solutions for data ingestion, processing and quality control
- Build relationships with internal Data Analysts and Stewards to drive a "Self Service" approach for end-to-end data pipelines
- Work with application, and data architects to propose and develop solutions while driving transformational initiatives
- Research, identify, and internally market enabling technologies based on business requirements during the journey from indentation to implementation
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization
- Collaborate with experts in the field to bring in best practices in various technologies and tools
Your Skillset
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- Several years of experience in data engineering with exposure to data analytics and data science teams
- Deep hands-on technical expertise & experience in data engineering and data lake design
- Detailed understanding of database systems and big data processing technologies in the cloud (preferably GCP)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python
- Knowledge of AirFlow, Spark, BigQuery and Looker is an added advantage
- Solid communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Professional skills in coding and automated testing
