Job Title: Commissioning Engineers (PLC programming)

Location: Germany

Job Description:We are currently seeking Commissioning Engineers to join an intralogistic project in Germany, to ensure the successful commissioning of PLC systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with the ComC Lead, Controls Services Manager(s), and the wider commissioning team.
  • Update check sheets and progress trackers in accordance with established processes.
  • Follow software revision and backup processes as required, ensuring team compliance.
  • Provide feedback on changes or modifications to the project team and design department.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Assist in developing the technical abilities of junior commissioning engineers and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with the Controls Services Manager(s) and the wider team to develop and maintain best practices and guidance.

Site Phase Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of Siemens PLC systems and products, identifying and resolving software, hardware, or electrical issues.
  • Conduct full level 2 PLC commissioning, including implementation of Siemens PLC software, manual and automatic control, communication with WCS/WMS systems, and testing of emergency stop systems.
  • Integrate third-party equipment and conduct necessary testing.
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team, SIM/SIT, and project managers to test system functionality and verify Siemens PLC performance.
  • Attend daily controls stand-up meetings to provide progress updates and plan resources.

Requirements For Junior Positions (9 Vacancies)

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering or related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must have a valid work visa for Portugal & Germany or EU citizenship.
  • Mission between April 1st, 2024, and December 31st, 2024.
  • On-site mission in Germany: 10 days on-site | 4 days rest.

Requirements For Intermediate Positions (8 Vacancies)

  • Technical training or higher education in Automation or related field.
  • Experience level to be determined based on individual qualifications.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must have a valid work visa for Portugal & Germany or EU citizenship.
  • Mission between May 6th, 2024, and December 31st, 2024.
  • On-site mission in Germany: 10 days on-site | 4 days rest.
