RESPONSIBILITIES

Members of the Elemental Analysis Research team, which is located at the new research building of BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, are responsible for research projects e.g. in the field of PFAS.

  • As a member of this team, you will have access to state-of-the-art analytical equipment and work within a diverse and interdisciplinary team.
  • You will develop new methods for the determination of total fluorine and fluor organic species.
  • Furthermore, you will establish new hyphenated techniques for industrially relevant applications.
  • Extensive cooperation with partners at universities, as well as researchers from BASF, will be an essential element of your work.
  • You will present your findings to partners from industry and university as well as in scientific journals.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD in analytical chemistry, chemistry or materials science
  • experience in analytical chemistry, especially in the field of atomic spectrometry, HPLC and structure elucidation
  • broad knowledge of organic chemistry is a plus
  • excellent communication skills in English and German
  • creativity and initiative, to successfully achieve goals in a team
