As Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for warehouse and spare parts management and the successful implementation of the corresponding strategies in Germany.
Another important goal of your role is to ensure the proper and legally compliant application of standardized warehouse processes while creating a safe working environment.
In addition, you will be responsible for the inventory levels of our warehouses and ensure optimal stock levels in cooperation with the local teams to meet demands while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
Your future:
- Active inventory management of spare parts including repair of components in SAP as well as driving and executing central and local inventory optimization and spare parts savings initiatives
- Work closely with local Operations and Purchasing to plan and purchase spare parts cost effectively and efficiently to minimize costs and downtime for our facilities
- Responsibility for the highest possible level of HSE practices for a safe & healthy workplace and regulatory compliance for all inventory and warehouse activities (hazardous materials, waste disposal etc.) in Germany
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse standards and processes in cooperation with the entire Warehouse & Spares Management as well as the planning and construction of new warehouse locations in order to store inventories efficiently & standardized (5S principle)
- Support management in resource planning and regularly communicate and report on work progress and performance to management
- Lead and develop the local team to support their professional and personal development and promote a positive and safe working environment
- Coordinating and driving country-specific initiatives and projects and supporting our growth into a sustainable future with new ideas, existing knowledge and experience
- Create new materials in SAP and ensure high data quality of material records in collaboration with the central team throughout the lifecycle
Your profile:
- Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a similar suitable degree in supply chain or logistics or warehouse management
- Proven professional experience (at least 5 years) in the field of spare parts management or warehouse and inventory management
- Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics
- Proven success in project management and optimization of processes and supply chains
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- High level of flexibility, resilience and initiative
- Very good self-organization and ability to work independently
- Solution-oriented thinking and good communication skills to build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Enjoy working in an international team
- Practical experience and knowledge of MS Office and SAP MM
- Very good written and spoken communication in English
- Development, implementation and continuous improvement of a program that brings the organization's HSE culture to a higher level of maturity.
