Contribute to broad-based studies to determine current and future use of IT equipment, methods of upgrading outdated equipment and needs for new equipment.

Contribute to research for potential ordering of information technology hardware and software and for utilization of current assets to support new capabilities.

Work with intra-organization information management officers (IMOs) to ensure uninterrupted support and connectivity.

Receive calls and/or trouble tickets and performs as Landstuhl Regional Medical Command Pharmacy Department first line point of contact (POC) for the troubleshooting of IT equipment, software, or process failures.

Serves as a functional expert regarding the computer hardware, software, automated data processing equipment, pharmacy robotics systems, and other information management and communication devices, processes, and security issues.

Integrates computer, communications, and information management technologies into pharmacy operations to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and patient safety, medication management issues.

Provides timely, sound advice, guidance and assistance to the Department of Pharmacy, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) on new and changed policies, plans, basic concepts and principles regarding automation.

Manages issues related to the institutional local area network. Evaluates and prepares requests for network accounts. Resolves problems related to network access for pharmacy staff.
Evaluates commercial software and hardware to determine its ability to satisfy locally identified application requirements. Researches and identifies user needs, evaluates current system deficiencies and anticipates future requirements.
