For our customer in Wiesbaden, we are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Consultant/Adminstrator (m/f/d) with a focus on Microsoft infrastructure for long-term project use.

Below you will find the specific technical requirements.

Focus and skill set of the consultant:
The project focus is clearly on the technical side, the customer is looking for a candidate from system integration with a lot of know-how in MS administration/operation . The consultant should have developed strongly towards DevOps. The consultant does not have to be a senior developer, the customer has a development team, the main thing is that the consultant can communicate with the development team. A nice to have is lead experience in projects; in the medium term it is planned to position the consultant in a lead function. The team is currently 5-man large. Another nice thing to have is experience with the authorities.

Tasks:
  • Operation of an MS infrastructure
  • Primary contact person for technical questions in the team for infrastructural issues
  • Close collaboration with the development team, therefore developer knowledge desirable
  • Responsible for the further development of the internal project infrastructure
  • Transformation of the infrastructure to the "Infrastructure as Code" operating model
  • Further development and maintenance of the existing CI and CD pipelines
  • Regular contact with the development and testing teams
  • Active support in the development and testing process
  • Research and introduction of new technologies (topics here: putting Elasticsearch into operation, application towards Kubernetes/operation of Kubernetes)
  • Analysis and correction of errors in the software and the operation of the software
Project-related self-assessment on the scale: 1 = 10% - 10 = 100%
Requirements:
  • Approx. 8 years of experience in the DevOps environment (can be seen in the CV)
  • years of experience in supporting complex IT processes and applications in the Microsoft environment
  • Strong infrastructural orientation (system integration, administration, etc.)
  • Experience as a developer to support the team in specific areas
  • Experience in managing and coordinating a team (nice to have)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Have fun getting to know new technologies and solutions
  • Very good PowerShell or Bash knowledge
  • Strong MS infrastructure knowledge. Deep knowledge of MS operations as a system engineer or admin.

  • Hypervisor: Hyper-V, OpenStack
  • Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL
  • Scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash
  • CI/CD & version management: Azure DevOps (not a must-have), Git
  • Programming language: C#
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Tooling: YAML, Helm
  • Communication platform: Rocket Chat, Teams, Skype
