Ab Oktober 2024 bieten wir in Dresden ein

Praktikum: HDL Design for High-Speed Converters

ADCs und DACs in den modernen HF-Messgeräten benötigen eine Hochgeschwindigkeits-Backend-Verbindung zur Übertragung der erfassten Daten. Das JESD204-Protokoll erfüllt diesen Zweck. Aktuelle Chips bieten Unterstützung für mehrere Versionen des Protokolls. Deine Aufgabe unter Anleitung eines/einer erfahrenen Ingenieurs/Ingenieurin ist es, eine bestehende JESD-Verbindung auf eine neuere Version des Protokolls umzustellen.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Recherche zu vorzunehmenden Änderungen
  • Update der bestehenden JESD204-Implementierung
  • HDL-Simulation
  • Einrichten und Debuggen der Datenverbindung auf echter Hardware

Deine Qualifikationen

Grundvoraussetzungen:

  • Student/-in der Elektrotechnik, Nachrichtentechnik, Informatik oder eines vergleichbaren Studiengangs, ab dem 6. Semester
  • Grundkenntnisse in VHDL
  • Fließende Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnisse
  • Dauer: 3 bis 6 Monate

Weitere Qualifikationen:

  • Grundkenntnisse in Python
  • Erfahrung mit Xilinx-Transceivern
  • Entwicklung eines eigenen "Designs" auf FPGA / CPLD
