You are responsible for implementing the continuous improvement strategy at our logistics center in Menden, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will develop and lead projects to improve and maintain business performance.

Your responsibilities

• Support the implementation of continuous improvement strategies and targets at local organizational level e.g. in relation to demand-driven ordering (Kanban), packing line optimization, 5-S
• Drive significant improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory and/or cost targets and fulfillment of commitments to customers and stakeholders in collaboration with local management
• Establish a culture of continuous improvement at all levels, activities and functions to drive behavioral change for continuous performance improvement at local level
• Remove barriers to the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level in consultation with relevant stakeholders,
• Provide support in cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Ensure that the local continuous improvement strategy is aligned with the global strategy
• Promote awareness and commitment to continuous improvement at local management level
• Implement improvement programs and projects in own area of responsibility with a hands-on and problem-solving approach
• Develop and maintain training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with local management
• Tracking of programs, initiatives, projects and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Drive/support systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques and incorporate relevant learnings into local ABB practices
• Ensure integrity and compliance with ABB values in all activities and all relevant internal and legal regulations and guidelines

Your background

• Several years of professional experience in the field of logistics, production or similar
• A collaborative, solution-oriented approach characterizes you
• The ability to manage problems and work in cross-functional teams and at all levels
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, economics or engineering and further training in Lean Production/Lean Six Sigma
• Excellent written and spoken German and good English language skills. Additional language skills are welcome
