What is the role about?

We have a great product that helps more than 80,000 companies find and attract talent. We need your skills, drive, and knowledge to drive user and company acquisition.

You will join the marketing team, and together, we will build a next-level acquisition engine and a new marketing playbook. You will support this by unearthing opportunities and leveraging insights. This will allow the team to act data-driven and focus on the most significant opportunities to drive acquisition.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be essential for the next phase of our growth story, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. There are so many things to do—we can't do them all at once. Help us identify their importance and track our progress to drive impact.

Tasks

You will be part of the marketing team and responsible for attracting new business through lead-generation efforts across multiple channels and tactics. You will work closely with your 'second team', i.e. data analysts in other departments and the data engineering team.

What will you be expected to do?
  • You own, manage, and further optimise the identification and reporting for all marketing channels.
  • You critically review, define and implement relevant KPIs to optimise our acquisition, helping to increase revenue acquisition and decrease customer acquisition costs.
  • Understand the marketing team's workflow, objectives, and priorities to translate them into actionable data requirements. Identify new data needs and extract and load data into our data warehouse to ensure we have the correct information at our fingertips.
  • Contribute to building our data pipeline and orchestrating data flow to meet the team's evolving needs.
  • You analyse and visualise data to provide actionable insights to optimise our marketing efforts.
  • Maintain and expand our marketing web tracking setup, ensuring accurate data collection to measure our marketing efforts effectively.
Requirements
  • You have 5+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or business intelligence professional and at least two years of experience supporting marketing or growth teams and driving acquisition.
  • You are proactive and passionate about discovering data to uncover patterns, gathering requirements, and providing actionable insights. Your ability to translate business questions into technical requirements ensures effective communication of findings to stakeholders at all levels.
  • You excel at analysing data due to your strong command of SQL (Postgres, Standard SQL, and having worked with BigQuery are a plus).
  • You have strong experience with web analytics and tracking tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Using tools like Tableau or Looker Studio, you excel in visualising data to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • You have hands-on experience developing data pipelines using tools like DBT or Dataform.
  • You are familiar with standardised and repeatable growth experimentation and testing frameworks.
  • You have a Growth Mindset and are a team player
  • You like to learn, work hands-on, take ownership and have an impact
  • You are fluent in English and love to work in multicultural organisations; being a fluent German speaker is a plus
  • We'd especially like to talk if you:
    • Have a deep understanding of and interest in the current and future state of B2B marketing.
    • Are familiar with statistical software languages (R or Python) for data manipulation and analysis.
    • Are familiar with ETL tools like Stitch and workflow management tools like Airflow.
