Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is with the G-33 Current Operations Division of the US Army Aviation & Missile Command and is located in Katterbach, Germany.



Duties
  • Coordinate and exercise direction over the integration of new equipment training, fielding, redistribution of items and disposal for assigned aviation weapons systems during all phases of the life cycle.
  • Coordinate to gather information, conduct research, analyze the material, and integrate into logistics assignments.
  • Perform liaison visits to users of the aviation weapon systems to evaluate logistics support and provide advice and assistance on logistics problems.
  • Maintain liaison relationships with other organizations and agencies as well as industry to review and analyze reports for assigned systems to determine solutions for logistics problems to circumvent potential program issues.
  • Apply a variety of analytical methods and techniques to unique and complex logistics matters.
  • Analyze reports using organizational specific database systems.
  • Review and analyze reports for aviation weapon systems to determine solutions to logistics problems.
  • Gather data and prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Represent leadership at conferences and meetings with representatives from internal and external agencies with the authority to make decisions for the organization.
  • Ability to interface with Senior Maintenance Representatives to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and write in a succinct and organized manner.

  • Logistics authority and consultant on all aspects of logistics assistance with intensive knowledge of logistics concepts, data collection and analysis and maintenance/supply management principles.
  • Interface between the retail and the wholesale supply systems for supported commands of the region.
  • Liaison between the supported commands, other MSCs, and AMCOM elements to resolve maintenance, supply, and technical problems impacting the readiness of weapon systems.
  • Maintains cognizance of AR Unit Readiness Report) and AR Army Missile Materiel Readiness Report) reporting and responds to those conditions which are affecting supported commands.
  • Capable of conducting formal training or extensive on-the-job training through prior experience. Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
  • Works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job.
  • Maintains liaison with pertinent elements of AMCOM including support organizations (The Army Aviation and Missile Enterprise) on actions pertaining to weapon systems as required by AR 700-4.
  • Maintain currency on applicable weapons systems through recurring training.
