Tasks
- You define and further develop the enercity data strategy, taking into account the corporate and digital strategy as well as long-term transformation projects.
- The agreement and implementation of methods, best practices and tool support together with the departments to continuously improve data availability, security, quality and maintenance, including the underlying processes, are also part of your range of tasks.
- You carry out regular reporting on the progress of strategy implementation and initiate continuous improvement measures.
- You design and implement the database, backup and archiving strategy for new and existing applications.
- You are also responsible for the needs-based installation, operation, maintenance and documentation. Regular patching, monitoring and implementing automation processes in the areas of databases, backup and archiving are also included.
- You build a powerful department, develop it further and lead it according to the requirements of the management persona. This includes establishing a positive working environment and culture that takes into account the achievement of work results and employee motivation.
- You promote company-wide collaboration with other departments to facilitate and improve overall data management.
- The introduction and maintenance of master data standards including supporting MDM and MDG technologies to ensure the consistency, accuracy and sustainable quality assurance of the master data expands your range of tasks. You develop KPIs and metrics to monitor the performance & quality of data management. Furthermore, you are responsible for the development and ongoing optimization of an operating model to sharpen the collaboration/division of work with local data management (especially data stewards or data scientists) in the specialist departments.
- The communication of the data strategy and implementation progress at all levels of the company as well as to relevant stakeholders rounds off your area of activity. You develop governance policies and procedures for the management of master data, monitor compliance with these policies and ensure that employees are optimally trained and trained in enterprise data management across the company.
Requirements
- You have a completed academic university degree in computer science, business informatics, economics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
- You have several years of experience in leading teams as well as in the development and successful implementation of strategies related to enterprise data management, databases, backup & archiving.
- You have several years of leadership experience with disciplinary responsibility for a team.
- You also have strong leadership and communication skills, which include the ability to motivate and lead teams and convey a clear vision for enercity data management.
- You demonstrate a high level of initiative, responsibility, independent work and decision-making skills.
- You are a team player with a reliable way of working and very good, active communication skills in a demanding work environment, also in English if necessary.
- You have an inspiring personality and are able to harmonize the needs of different stakeholders.
- You have the inner mindset that lifelong learning and the willingness to self-reflect are naturally part of a leadership role.
