Sustainable Corporate Management
as of October 1st, 2025. Reference is made to § 67 Para. 7 Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG) and to the conditions of employment based on § 68 HessHG. Proficient knowledge of German is expected.
Duties:
You will have the task of comprehensively representing the field of sustainable corporate management in research and teaching. A particular focus lies on the implementation of sustainable organization and process design. The professorship is thematically anchored in the field of business administration.
In teaching, you will be expected to contribute to the faculty's Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and to doctoral training.
You will also be actively involved in the further development of the study programs offered in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies.
The willingness and ability to teach courses in German and English are required.
In addition to fulfilling your teaching obligations and supervising student research projects, internships and theses, your duties will include research, knowledge transfer, participation in academic self-administration and the promotion of young academics.
Your research will relate to issues relevant to business administration in the above-mentioned field of research.
Specifically, your research should shed light on the connection between sustainable corporate management on the one hand and the design of the organization and processes on the other from various perspectives.
The acquisition of further external funding – e.g. from the DFG and/or the BMBF – is expected in this context.
The professorship should contribute to the internationalization of the faculty by expanding international cooperation, participating in international research projects, and integrating international perspectives into teaching.
Requirements:
A completed university degree, an outstanding, thematically relevant doctorate and additional academic achievements (proven e.g. by a habilitation or in the form of relevant peer-reviewed publications in the research field outlined above) in the field of sustainable corporate management are required.
Success in the independent acquisition (and management) of externally funded projects (preferably DFG, BMBF) is required.
You have relevant teaching experience and can provide evidence of high-ranking publications in the above-mentioned field of research in nationally and internationally recognized journals.
This connection can exist concerning business administration professorships in the areas of management, finance and accounting, information systems, data science, and digitalization.
In case the candidate exceeds the basic age limit of 50 years, a civil servant appointment under § 66 Para.
