Lead Application Engineer – Performance Simulation CAE (m/w/d)
Aufgaben
- Als Teil des Europäischen Customer Solution Centers (CSC) führen Sie ein kleines Team hochqualifizierter Berechnungs-Ingenieure und sind verantwortlich für die Entwicklung neuer Produkte basierend auf den Anforderungen der Kunden.
- Sie leiten komplexe Projekte und koordinieren externe Dienstleister und Projektpartner. Die CSCs arbeiten aktiv an Projekten für Alumobility. Weiterhin unterhalten wir Kollaborationen mit Universitäten, Forschungseinrichtungen und Entwicklungspartnern.
- In enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Novelis-Kollegen der Konstruktion, Umformsimulation, Kostenrechnung und LCA entwickeln und optimieren Sie Aluminium- und Hybridkonzepte, um den Mehrwert des Einsatzes neuer Legierungen aufzuzeigen und erstellen entsprechende Business Cases.
- Sie simulieren die statische und dynamische Performance von Automobilstrukturen von Komponenten bis zur kompletten Karosserie mit Verbindungtechnik mit expliziter und impliziter FEA. Hierbei verwenden Sie dieselben Berechnungsmethoden wie die jeweiligen OEM-Kunden. Novelis erstellt eigene Materialkarten und arbeitet an neuen Berechnungs- und Optimierungsmethoden für Automobilstrukturen.
- In Zusammenarbeit mit Kollegen und externen Partnern führen Sie Validierungen von FEM-Simulationen an Strukturteilen und Verbindungstechnik durch. Hierbei verwenden Sie fallweise GISSMO-Versagensmodelle oder Inputs aus der Prozess-Simulation für heutige und künftige Produkte von Novelis Automotive.
- Sie halten Präsentationen auf verschiedenen Konferenzen.
- Sie stehen im kontinuierlichen Austausch mit den globalen CSCs in den USA und Asien sowie den Kollegen aus der Prozessentwicklung und R&D.
Profil
- Sie verfügen über ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Maschinenbau, Fahrzeugtechnik, Computational Engineering, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik oder vergleichbar.
- Sie bringen mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in einer ähnlichen Position in der Automobilindustrie mit; bevorzugt in einem internationalen Umfeld und mit Simulations-Erfahrung für mehrere OEMs.
- Erfahrung als Projektleiter ist Voraussetzung, Führungserfahrung ist ein Bonus.
- Sie haben ein ausgeprägtes Verständnis für die vielfältigen Aspekte der Anwendungsentwicklung. Eine strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Erfahrungen mit Kunden sind Voraussetzung.
- Sie bringen fundierte Kenntnisse in Altair HyperWorks (auch Optistruct) sowie LS-DYNA mit.
- Kenntnisse über Automobil-Werkstoffe (Stahl, Aluminium, FVK) sowie Erfahrungen in der Leitbau-Optimierung sind ein Bonus.
- Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse runden Ihr Profil ab.
