Aufgaben

For our team in Düsseldorf we are looking for you

An experienced professional, eager to lead their team to cooperate with others across the COO organization to bring the appropriate focus on operational performance monitoring of our existing and future energy assets. Key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics team with a strong reference to the Uniper Way and focus on Beyond Zero to provide an expert view on operational performance, acting as a role model, promoting teamwork (within the team and beyond it) and supporting their team members to grow personally and professionally
  • Lead the Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics team to
    • Complete the development of and own the Performance Monitoring process which will define the standard to enable our energy assets to perform according to expectations and external benchmarks, cooperating with COODE to develop digital tools to deliver this if needed
    • Conduct operational performance analyses, applying advanced analytics tools and methodologies when appropriate, both proactively and following requests from the business
    • Be responsible for the technical parameters used for the nomination of our energy assets. Apply a consistent mindset to those energy assets not operating in a wholesale market
    • Trigger the establishment of new data pipelines in order to fulfill the requirements from our Performance Monitoring process and operational analysis needs
    • Define business requirements and expectations in terms of the application of Data Science and AI in the context of operational performance monitoring or our EA. Cooperate with COODE to implement them
    • Support the sites to develop their leveraging of their operational data through the application of Aveva PI and other IIoT and digital tools
  • Support the department head in driving the use of operational data, especially as PI data owner and responsible for the client tools in the PI system. Own the PI data governance
  • Periodically update the competence assessment of their team members, especially with regards to new technologies and businesses, enabling that the performance of our energy assets is appropriately monitored since their COD
  • Keep and demonstrate an inclusive attitude and mindset, acting as a role model for their team members

Profil
  • Relevant university degree in engineering or science
  • Demonstrate working according to the Uniper Way (for internal candidates)
  • Relevant operational experience and/or technical competence in operational performance management of power plants or similar assets/business (5 years)
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills would be advantageous/preferable
  • Strategic understanding of the energy market
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across the COO organisation
  • DEI sensibility
  • Willingness to undertake international travel
  • Ability to build, develop and motivate a high performance team with an OE mindset
  • Business fluency in English, German would be an advantage
