Your TasksGlassy materials exhibit fascinating thermo-mechanical properties due to their intrinsic non-equilibrium state, giving promising applications in various fields such as healable equipment, medical devices, additive manufacturing, etc. Understanding the microscopic mechanisms behind the mechanical behavior is essential for appropriate applications and optimizing the material properties. For this purpose, we are looking for student assistants to support our research in the following **
- Using MD simulations to characterize and analyze the mechanical properties, focusing on the physical origin of aging, strain softening, strain hardening, cavitation, crazing, or fracture
- Constitutive modeling informed by MD simulations, where the physical aging, strain softening, and strain hardening are of particular interest
- Development of multiscale simulation methods for glassy polymers incorporating temperature effects and strain softening behavior
- Multiscale fracture simulations of glassy polymers
- Using deep learning method to study the structure-property relationship of glassy polymers
