Your tasks and responsibilities:
As part of the aircraft design and approval process, it is the TCH's responsibility to develop
Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs) in accordance with Certification Specifications to ensure the aircraft's continued airworthiness along its lifetime. Today, the MSG-3
(Maintenance Steering Group - 3) methodology - published by A4A - is used by all commercial
aircraft TCHs as a means to develop these ICAs.
The primary focus of this thesis will be on the identification of challenges for the certification of
Aircraft Health Management (AHM) technologies as part of the ICA and required adjustments on the MSG-3 methodology allowing the TCH (Type Certificate Holder) to take full benefit from emerging technology to enhance aircraft availability with no compromise on aircraft safety.
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Enrolled fulltime student (d/f/m) in the area of mechanical engineering, Aircraft construction, Aerospace engineering an equivalent field of study.
- First practical experience in the field of aircraft maintenance, maintainability and operability is desirable.
- Fluent in German and English.
