We are now looking for a
Development Engineer Software (m/f/d)
to join our Navigation R&D team.
The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany.
What you will be doing
As Development Engineer Software your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Take a key role in the development and implementation of new navigation products and the renewal of existing maritime solutions. Design, develop, and optimize robust and scalable engineering solutions that can be certified. Ensure the integration of cutting-edge technology and practices into product designs to enhance functionality and user experience. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies. Ensure rigorous testing and validation processes are in place to meet quality standards. Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during development and post-deployment phases. Collaborate within cross-functional teams, including development teams outside Germany, product management, engineering, and service, to align developments with business objectives.To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. At least 3 - 5 years experience in technology development, ideally in the maritime domain. Strong technical leadership. Extensive experience with systems engineering, software development, and hardware integration. Proficiency in relevant object-oriented programming languages, ideally C# or C++, and development tools. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Negotiation-proof English language skills verbally and in writing, German intermediateWhy you and us?
