WOFÜR WIR SIE SUCHEN

Als Technical Artist (m/w/d) sind Sie verantwortlich für den Aufbau einer neuen Contentpipeline zur Visualisierung von digitalem Content (z. B. 3D-Modelle) in der Unreal Engine für z.B. unsere Schieß- und Gefechtssimulatoren, Schiffsführungssimulatoren, Maintenance Trainer oder Digitale Zwillinge.

Unter Berücksichtigung von kunden-/projektspezifischen Anforderungen teilautomatisiert, vereinfacht und definiert er State-of-the-Art Methoden, Arbeitsabläufen und erstellt Materialien und Szenen für die Erzeugung und Bereitstellung von digitalem Content (z. B. für simulierte virtuelle Welten) und nutzt diese.

Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören:

- Aufbau einer Content Produktionspipeline für die Unreal Engine, in Zusammenarbeit mit weiteren Fachteams
- Aufbau von Echtzeit-3D-Modellen und Environment zur Verwendung in der Unreal Engine
- Visual Art Direction u. a. in der Unreal Engine
- Identifizierung und Analyse von Performance
- und Speicheroptimierungen und Erstellung von Maßnahmen zur Behebung dieser im Bereich Content
- Verwaltung und Pflege von digitalem Content (durch Versionsverwaltungssoftware z. B. Perforce und Stand/Bibliothekserzeugung durch z. B. Team City)
- Durchführung von qualitätssichernden Maßnahmen für 3D-Modelle (Eingangsdatenprüfung und Abnahmen von 3D-Modellen, Test der Modelle am Zielsystem, Prüfungen von Lieferständen vor Auslieferungen an den Kunden)
- Steuerung von externen Unterauftragnehmern (m/w/d)
- Marktsichtung, Analyse und Einführung von neuen Technologien zur Verbesserung und stärkeren Automatisierung des Modellier
- und Konfigurationsworkflow

WAS SIE MITBRINGEN SOLLTEN
- Abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium Game Art mit mehrjähriger Berufserfahrung oder vergleichbarer fachspezifische Berufsausbildung (z. B. Digital Art) und Weiterbildung
- Umfangreiches Verständnis im Umgang mit der Unreal Engine
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Autodesk 3ds Max und Blender, Adobe Photoshop und Substance 3D
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse State-of-the-Art Methoden und Workflows in der grafischen Gestaltung
- Langjährige Erfahrung in der 3D-, Realtime
- oder Gaming-Industrie
- Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift, insbesondere Fachenglisch
