Role Description

As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and support of our highly sought-after product, SAP S/4HANA for financial products subledger. This product is designed to assist our customers in achieving compliance with accounting and reporting standards, such as IFRS 9, IFRS 17, U.S. GAAP, IFRS S1, and IFRS S2 within the financial services industry. In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities in developing this product. Some of the key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Defining, developing, and maintaining software modules for SAP S/4HANA for financial products subledger that are based on ABAP and further SAP technologies
  • Working across teams that apply agile development processes)
  • Analyzing and correcting errors in the software solution
  • Optimizing performance
  • Technical documentation

In summary, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our cutting-edge product and collaborate with members of dynamic Scrum teams. Your involvement will span various aspects of the product development lifecycle, ensuring its quality and meeting the needs of our customers.

You will have the flexibility to work from any of our offices in Germany, located in Berlin, Munich, or Walldorf, choose a home-office setup, or a combination of the two based on your preferences.

Requirements

To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualities and skills:

  • A passion for writing code, the willingness to extend your coding knowledge, and an interest in finance
  • An academic degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to confidently express your ideas and collaborate seamlessly within a team environment. Your ability to drive collaboration will be essential for the success of our projects.
  • A willingness to actively engage in agile/scrum development processes, embracing the iterative and collaborative nature of our work.
  • A customer-first mindset and a strong sense of teamwork, recognizing the importance of understanding and addressing our clients' needs while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Fluent proficiency in English. Additionally, German language skills are highly advantageous, as they would allow for better collaboration with local stakeholders.
  • Preferred qualifications: Proficiency in ABAP, SQL, S/4HANA FPSL, S/4HANA Finance, and SAP HANA; experience with agile development processes; and experience in the banking or insurance industry
