As a Loss Prevention Manager, you will provide security as a service for our operational sites along the entire supply chain to protect our employees and prevent losses.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Enhance the resilience of our business operations by contributing to emergency and crisis planning for sites in your area of responsibility.
• Identify vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, employee experience, process improvement), define appropriate remedies, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Act as a point of contact and coordinate risk management actions with local management and external parties in all security-related matters.
• Ensure that assigned sites meet Amazon's global security standards.
• Lead projects related to security and loss prevention at local, regional, and national levels.

A Day in the Life

As a Loss Prevention Manager, you will be part of a team of security and loss prevention experts who offer security as a service to business customers in multiple areas within a specific geographical region. You will conduct regular physical security audits, investigate policy violations, security incidents, and loss events to identify weaknesses in our processes and drive corrective actions. Your role is crucial in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by assessing the functionality of our systems, collaborating with experts and external vendors to uphold their functionality, and initiating improvements to our physical security infrastructure.

You will interact daily with external security service providers to ensure high-quality security services and a seamless customer experience. Additionally, you will conduct training and awareness programs for other teams at all management levels to implement our security and loss prevention plans.

About the Team

As part of the Global Security Operations organization, the Security and Loss Prevention team supports Amazon's business goals by effectively protecting against relevant threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could jeopardize our employees, customers, business continuity, assets, and brand reputation. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, we continuously secure the Amazon supply chain and enhance safety in business decision-making processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Relevant security or risk-related experience (e.g., security services, physical security, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar).
• Advanced knowledge of German and proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher degree, equivalent certification, or relevant industry certification.
• Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or managing contract security officers.
• Experience in retail, warehouses, distribution centers, delivery services, or supply chain.
• Proficiency in data analysis and a valid driver's license.
