At the Institute of Psychology and Education at Ulm University, the following position is available in the Department of Molecular Psychology:
Postdoc position (M/F/d) in the field of Molecular Psychology

Your profile:
- PhD in psychology or neuroscience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in one of the research areas of the Department of Molecular Psychology or apparent interest in working at the interface of (personality) psychology, neuroscience, and computer science
- Willingness to learn the neuroscientific methods of the Department of Molecular Psychology.
molecular genetics, epigenetics, endocrinology, and/or brain imaging methods
- Very good English proficiency (at least C1 level)
- Independent and organized working style as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
Your responsibilities:
- Conducting independent research projects at the interface of (personality) psychology, neuroscience and (psycho)informatics and/or in the individual research areas, incorporating your own research interests
- Teaching duties of 4 hours per week in the courses Differential Psychology (B.Sc.), Empirical Laboratory (B.Sc.), Project Seminar (M.Sc.) and/or in the basic training on the topic Measuring, Testing, and Evaluation (M.Sc.) as well as supervision of students writing their Bachelor's and/or Master's theses
- Practical work in the molecular genetics and hormone laboratory (e.g., DNA extraction, realtime PCR, gel electrophoresis, ELISA, mRNA expression analyses). An introduction into these techniques will be provided by the laboratory team as well as the scientific staff of the Department of Molecular Psychology. At a later stage, the independent establishment of new methods based on the latest scientific findings and standards is also planned
- Assist with departmental (i.e., administrative) tasks including helping with exams, onsite supervision of student assistants and interns, etc.
- Further development of your scientific qualifications as a postdoc and refining your own research profile
