CARIAD uses Hardware in the Loop to automate the testing process and maximise the quality of the company products.

We have various different HIL setups:
Vehicle System HIL, Component HIL, Lab Cars, and many more.

Specifically in this department we are concerned with lab-level HIL infrastructure, but drive towards a fully re-usable, one central infrastructure between the different teams and products.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • You will be the head of a department, which is responsible for the HIL Operations and Automation once HILs are architected and built up, your team will make sure that the availability of HIL is as high as possible, operations are as automated as possible, and you will own the strategy for how to automate and best operate the benches. The vision is that eventually the user does not need to care about where the bench is, how it is run, or what vehicle platform it is on, they just set their requirements, and we automatically generate reports
  • You will be the product manager and the main responsible for all topics related to HIL Operations and Automation
  • You will have your own budget, and the power of decision making for all topics related to the HIL operations and automation
  • You will act as the business owner of this department.
  • You will work close with other heads of departments to ensure that the HIL operations and automation infrastructure meets the company needs
  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of the team of about 20 CARIAD employees and further people through SoW contract houses and other suppliers

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Several years of experience in leading and managing teams with strong leadership skills
  • Strong technical expertise around HIL operation topics, and automation of the benches. Experience from IT onpremises server automation / operations / monitoring topics would be useful.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to compromise
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
