Join Our Team as a Project Manager in Environmental Technology at the Waste Management Department of Gießen District

Gießen District's Waste Management Department is looking to strengthen its team by hiring a Project Manager in Environmental Technology on a full-time permanent basis.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Leading and managing diverse environmental projects focusing on sustainability
• Supervising and coordinating engineering firms, experts, and project partners
• Managing environmental permit processes
• Implementing projects as the client's representative
• Coordinating tender processes according to procurement law
• Transparent budget control and monitoring of costs and project status
• Collaborating with other organizational units
• Project documentation

Requirements for this role include:

• Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) in Waste Management, Environmental Technology, Environmental Engineering, or similar field
• Analytical, conceptual, and economic thinking and acting
• Determination and organizational skills
• Team player with a cooperative attitude
• Innovative mindset and willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills
• Intercultural competence
• Proficient in relevant IT tools
• Driving license Class B
• Proficient in German (min. C1 level)

Preferred qualifications:

• Initial professional experience in the aforementioned field of tasks
• Process engineering knowledge in environmental technology
• Knowledge of procurement law, contract management, and HOAI
• Knowledge of environmental legislation
