How you can help shape the future:

BP's Global Tax Department is structured in 7 strategic areas: Tax Business Partnering, Tax Operations, Tax Dispute Resolution, Tax Planning, Tax Reporting, Tax Technology, and Tax Policy.

As part of Business Partnering, the Global Customs & Excise (C&E) team at bp Tax provides strategic advice and ensures global compliance for all bp businesses on C&E matters.

Germany is a key growth area for bp, with a focus on sustainable fuels production and new customs & excise activities.

The C&E Tax Analyst will support different business units, aiming to centralize, optimize, and digitize C&E management across bp.

Tasks include researching regulations, implementing controls, supporting reviews, monitoring legislative changes, and contributing to planning opportunities.


Help implementing controls:

regarding excise exemption/suspension regimes, origin management, tax exemption/suspension regimes, etc.

Supporting local C&E matters, collaborating with customs brokers/agents, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Monitoring tax changes, supporting audits, and maintaining effective risk management tools.

Building key relationships with stakeholders and ensuring effective C&E license management.


Profil Your qualification profile profound and passionate:

The ideal candidate will have a university degree and 2-4 years of relevant Excise & Customs experience. Knowledge of the energy sector and international customs laws is a plus.

Strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a collaborative attitude are essential.

Fluency in English is required.
