Ausbildung Pflegefachhelfer/in

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the care team, whether working in a nursing home, outpatient care service, or hospital. As a Pflegefachhelfer/in, you will support nursing professionals in the daily care of patients.

Bremen has developed a forward-looking, one-year Pflegefachhelfer/in training program, aligned with the developments in the 3-year generalist nursing training for Pflegefachmann and Pflegefachfrau. This program allows trainees to gain practical experience in various care areas, providing extensive development opportunities within the healthcare sector.

This 1-year training program takes place in both a nursing school and a care facility. You will gain practical experience in the day-to-day work environment and learn to take responsibility for your nursing actions.

The program includes theoretical and practical phases. The theoretical part consists of 850 hours, including cross-disciplinary subjects like German and Politics. Practical training covers 850 hours divided into four placements.

• Basic vocational qualification (equivalent to a secondary school certificate) or an equivalent degree, or a completed vocational training (in exceptional cases, it may not be required)
• Good health condition with enhanced immunization protection
• Proficiency in the German language, both spoken and written

The training concludes with a state examination, making you a certified Pflegefachhelfer/in.

Afterward, with a good grade, you can pursue a 3-year training as a Pflegefachmann/frau, even without a high school diploma and potentially shortened by up to 1/3.
