JOB TITLE:ELC Advisor - Make-up artist

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Sales and Education Executive

***
MAIN PURPOSE:To provide welcoming, authentic and personalized service to our customers in order to achieve all customer service and sales targets across ELC brands in target Travel Retail location. Over time, the number of represented brands might fluctuate between all brands in an airport and one in a Free-Standing Store Format, depending on staffing needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS

1. SELL ACROSS THE ELC FAMILY OF BRANDS AVAILABLE IN THE AIRPORT/ DOWNTOWN LOCATION

  • Achieve required retail sales targets set by the Company as communicated by the Sales and Education Executive
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge across brands developing an understanding of brand stories and hero products and the ability to communicate this to the customer to meet their needs
  • Present oneself within the standard of personal grooming guidelines as specified by ELC.
  • Link sell within and between brands to help grow Items Per Transaction and Average Basket Value.
  • Provide bestinclass service and experience across brands. Use your exceptional people and conversational skills to stop and engage customers and fulfil all of their shopping needs.
  • Identify customer needs and provide engaging customer solutions through the use of openended questions, using demonstrations where appropriate
  • Close the sale effectively

2. WORK EFFECTIVELY AS PART OF A TEAM

  • Develop strong working relationships with the team, colleagues, managers and retailers.
  • Help colleagues and team efficiency by being flexible and taking on tasks as required
  • Communicate information to the Counter Manager and Sales and Education Executive
  • Attend and actively participate in training meetings, virtual or atcounter, as provided by Sales and Education teams
  • Actively participate in and complete online learning modules
  • Work effectively with store personnel, store management and corporate sales and education teams
  • Maintain high standards of timekeeping on the counter to ensure team efficiency

3. MAINTAIN HOUSEKEEPING STANDARDS

  • Clean counters, tester stands and displays regularly to maintain hygiene guidelines as defined by ELC and retailer.
  • Merchandise back fixtures and display counters as directed

4. COMPLETE ADMINISTRATION
***- Complete all administration accurately, legibly and on time

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS**- Previous retail industry/guest services experience is desirable (preferably within beauty or luxury goods)

  • Knowledge in Makeup category.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate excitement for and the ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
  • Sales and Goal Oriented. Must have the ability to maintain level of sales performance as determined by Company goals set.
  • Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fastpaced work environment
  • Previous experience with retail pointofsale software is desirable
  • Applicants must be able to provide proof of right to live and work in the country if invited to attend for interview
  • Must have: Flexibility regarding working for different brands, including multiple brands at one time
  • Experience with makeup artistry is a plus
  • Excitement for interacting with customers of many cultures is a plus
  • Multiple language fluency and an understanding of English is a plus
A make-up certification is a plus
