At our subsidiary, ICT Integrated Circuit Testing GmbH, we are a team of innovators currently consisting of 150 individuals. Our focus is on the development and production of electron microscopy columns, the essential component of our machines used for defect inspection and size measurement in semiconductors. For the enhancement of our cutting-edge electron microscopes, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer (m/w/d) with expertise in mechanical design and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities. This role involves taking charge of designing and developing parts, assemblies, modules, and final configurations of the electron microscope and its related hardware requirements.

About Our Team:

The R&D Team primarily focuses on crafting advanced machines for electron optic microscopy. These tools play a vital role in examining semiconductor wafers throughout the microchip production process.

Your Passion:

Implementing mechanical designs for highly precise optomechanical systems in cleanroom environments, high voltage designs, vacuum systems, and cooling systems Creating technical drawings, selecting fabrication methods tailored to requirements, materials, and finishing standards with a firm grasp on form and positional tolerances, as well as undertaking intricate tolerance analyses Planning and executing experiments Conducting Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulations and analyses to validate designs and resolve issues Overseeing the mechanical aspects throughout the development process, conducting design evaluations, and collaborating with team members from various disciplines such as Optics, Physics, Control, Electronics and Software, Project Management, Assembly and Testing department, and suppliers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Precision Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience Proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal Extensive experience with CAD software (Computer Aided Design) Sound knowledge of GD&T and tolerance chain analysis Familiarity with operations on programs like Inventor, TeamCenter, and System Analysis Program Development (SAP) or similar tools is advantageous Team player with the ability to work in large, interdisciplinary teams, possessing excellent interpersonal communication skills Skilled in CAE software for structural, modal, thermal, and flow analyses

Your Strengths:

Demonstrating proficiency in mechanical designs for high precision optomechanical systems in cleanroom environments, high voltage design, vacuum system cooling systems Creating technical drawings, specifying manufacturing techniques, materials, and finishing standards with detailed Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and executing complex tolerance analyses Designing and performing experiments Conducting CAE simulations and analyses to validate designs and troubleshoot issues Leading the mechanical components of the development process, facilitating design reviews, collaborating with team members from diverse fields like Optics, Physics, Control, Electronics and Software, Project Management, Production, and technical support, as well as suppliers

Key attributes:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Precision Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience Proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal Competency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis Experience with programs such as Inventor, TeamCenter, and System Analysis Program Development (SAP) or similar tools is desirable Ability to thrive in large, multidisciplinary teams with exceptional interpersonal communication skills Familiarity with CAE software for structural, modal, thermal, and flow analyses
