Tax Analyst I

The VAT Compliance & Controllership team is responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT regulations for third-party sellers on Amazon's platforms across Europe. They are currently seeking candidates for roles in Munich and Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture relationships with the German Tax Authorities.
- Provide necessary data to tax authorities regarding third-party sellers.
- Manage the access of sellers based on VAT compliance status.
- Address VAT compliance inquiries from Amazon businesses in Europe.
- Support internal and external audits with data analysis.
- Assist accounting groups and other colleagues with VAT compliance matters.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and improve VAT compliance processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills in English and German.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a problem-solving mindset.
- Capability to implement changes and document operational procedures effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and a drive to achieve exceptional results.
- Commitment to data security and confidentiality.
- Team player with a hands-on and collaborative approach.
- Technical acumen in SQL, VBA, Python, or related.
